I asked housing about roommates and they told me that freshmen and transfers might be placed together as roommates, since they only look at your roommate preferences, not your year; how likely is this? Is this rare? I would much rather prefer to have a fellow transfer, not a freshman.

yes, there is a chance you'll be with a frehsmen

not if you get a plaza!

I got a plaza, sunset villages...so it's much more/highly likely for me to have transfer/jr year roommates?

i got sunset village too, its mostly sophmores and upper division people other there, although there are a few freshmans around, but its mostly upper division.

Delta Terrace has a transfer/first year thing too.

It happens...my suitemates are two transfers and a freshman (I'm in Hedrick Summit)...and I have two freshman friends who are rooming with a transfer (this is in Canyon Point, in Sunset Village).

I know of a good chunk of A6 (in Canyon Point) that is almost completely transfers.

keywon, mojojojo69, thanks for the response, it's good to hear that in sunset village there's a majority of upper division/transfers.

what about reiber vista? what year students live there?

Yea its possible to mix freshman and transfers as roommates. One of my friends was a transfer and had 2 roommates that were freshmen. He moved out after the 2nd week. This is mostly cause he is an engineering major taking upper div and needs to study. All his roommates did was kick back stay up late at night. A guy on my floor is a transfer and he is rooming with 2 freshman.

Personally, I believe transfers don't belong in the dorms. Most transfers will be taking upper division stuff, so they don't have to time to screw around, unless your majoring in some bull$$$ easy major. My floor is like 30+freshmen and like 8 transfers. Good thing this is my last quarter in the dorms. This place was totally not worth the money. Getting an apartment off campus is just as good. Unless you want the college experience...............
