Transfers to Emory

Hey, anyone else transferring to Emory in the fall?

I'm applying for the spring as a transfer...

i hope to transfer into the fall, did u check my post about financial aid!! I CALLED FINANCIAL AID TODAY AND THEY SAID THEY DONT GIVE PACKAGES TO TRANSFERS!! ONLY LOANS!!

HI laydownthebeat

I am appying to emory this fall. I have a 3.65 gpa. I wonder if this is

enough? There is so much grade inflation this year.

goldcoast!! did u send in ur stuff? are u complete yet? and u never answer my question, why are u transfering from Loyola Chicago. And are u willing to pay all loan if the myth holds true (that transfers dont get any aid)?

I do believe I am complete with my application to emory. We

get a card from emory with a id so we can tract are application online.

I am willing to pay the loans. Loyola does not have a good history

department, Emory it seems does.

how long have u been complete for? i havent even been complete yet..

mojojo69

I believe I was complete on june 1 but I believe there is still

time to get all your important papers in. When those cards come in

the mail and we get our id- that will be the time to everything in.

Do you know the acceptance rate for emory?

i have my OPUS ID, it says its due lol, but i dont get my transcripts until like the end of this month :( i think the acceptance rate is like 30% im not sure though...

mojojo69

I was told my two different forums that the acceptance rate is

35% to 50%. Last year it was 35%! Maybe it was fluke. I do

remember asking a secretary at emory and she told me about

usually around 50%.

mojojo69

when did you get your opus id? I did not get one yet, I sent it in

on may 28.

In 2003-2004, the transfer acceptance rate was 43%.
In 2004-2005, it was 45%
In 2005-2006, it was 34%

The yield for the college (freshman) is generally going up, that is probably why transfer rates are going to drop.

i got my opus id in the mail when i sent my application in around the 2nd of may or so
