Transfers to OU

I’ve been really researching the schools i want to go to, and OU is at the top! I’m auditioning for them inLA in feb! reallly excited. anywhoo, I’m going to be a jr transfer, I know that they accept transfers, but iwas just wondering if there were any transfers on here, or if anyone knew how it is to transfer there?thanks guys!

Replying to a really old post, but it caught my eye! I can only speak of our experiences. After D auditioned at the LA Unifieds, Professor Kunesh called me in to chat. He was very enthusiastic about D’s talent, and she was invited to the school to audition (a fun experience!) but pretty much told us that OU doesn’t like transfer students because of the problematic history they’ve had with “students and parents in the past”. He was very cleaer that anyone coming into OU’s MT program would be coming in as a freshman and should expect to attend for four years. The problems occur, according to him, when students think they are somehow better than the other freshmen because they already have college experience, and parents are upset they actually have to pay for four MORE years of college. He said it isn’t unheard of to admit a current college student, but was clear that it would still be a four year program.

I don’t mean to be discouraging - we both think it’s a great program too. She wasn’t crazy about the “feel” of the campus when she was there, but that is different for everyone. It’s certainly worth it to apply and talk with them about their current “transfer” status. Good luck!!
