mandymandy-- nope, not yet! hopefully tomorrow or saturday!

Someone get their status changed just an hour ago, anyone else?

does anyone receive the letter today?

i just got the acceptance letter and welcome packet already!!!

Congratulations!!! =D

absolutely NOTHING yet. My friends left and right are getting accepted like everyday
Would they send out rejection letters after this? or is there another batch?

Do you think that maybe the acceptances are based off of the amount of transferring credits?

got a welcome packet and acceptance letter today

Accepted two days ago. Didn’t know, haven’t been checking my status. I only found out because they emailed me about my financial aid status and the email had a student ID #. :0 I looked online, status had changed after being the same since April 20 (sent in app January 15th)
Got my acceptance letter and big envelope today, together. :)

I don’t know if anyone cares much, but my stats are 3.7 GPA and graduating with my AA from a instate college with a general DTA-AA. Did Running start, two AP classes/tests (that count for 15 credits).

so do u guys think UW release the decision based on major?
What are you guys major for the Wednesday’s batch?
I saw a lot of B school decision today

I’m guessing the acceptances might be based off of transfer credits and/or residency. Everyone so far has been in-state, right?

Oh, and what about housing? Have you guys been able to apply right away?

After such a long wait, seeing so many acceptances at once is super exciting. =D

how soon after you were accepted did you get your financial aid e-mail?

Hi Jimmy:
Are you sophomor now? How many credits do you have? I just think I am freshman, so they will deal with it until they finish the review of sophomors/juniors.

jimmy4ever- I don’t think its based on major. My friend who majored in business got in the same day as my friend who majored in psychology.

but it is possible that its based off of credits…

I think maybe it has part to do with major, number of credits, and part to do with gpa. The first letters that went out (from what I can gather here) were rejections. So if those who were rejected had a low gpa, low number of credits, and applied for a relatively competitive major then they were easy people to reject first. After them it would just boil down to the rest of us. This seems kind of like auditions. Where round 1 consists of eliminating the ‘easy’ targets and then round 2 is reviewing who is left with a more investigative eye.

But then again it’s college and admissions so it could totally just be random xD

i applied to the molecular and cellular biology major
i think it has to do w/ credits and gpa

on guy have 3.2 got in on Wednesday , I dont think it has anything to do with GPA

there is no way that gpa is not important
everyone’s situation is different, we all come in different packages
he might have a great SAT score, lots of hard classes, a degree while he’s transferring, lots of extra curricular, volunteering, great essay, cultural aspect, or stands out in any other way, there are a lot of factors

but it would be ridiculous that a university doesn’t care what gpa you transfer with

^ we are talking about releasing date, not the admission process , dude

~Status changed to :

We have reviewed your application. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made.
