@nicolles Yep, I’m home. I’m an upcountry girl. If you don’t mind me asking, how long were you at MCC/how many credits do you have?

Thanks everyone for being so supportive! Theres only 1 week and 3 days left before they HAVE to send me a response. I can’t believe its already the end of June.

Yay, I’m in!!! Status changed today and my unofficial transcript loaded! does a happy dance

Best of luck to those still waiting! Don’t give up hope!

Can you please post your stats? I think it’d great if everyone could repost theirs once they hear back. It would help some others. :P

got rejected, shucks.

int’l fall applicant, 3.48 cgpa and i got in for freshman last year :(

@bananacreampi, how many transfer credits do you have?

@ooshiny…I was at MCC for two years, I have 70cr i think…or thereabouts…I actually got a scholarship at the University of Oregon so I’m 99% sure I’m gonna go there but I just wanna find out what U-Dub says…hehe…I highly doubt I’d attend unless they offered me an even better deal, which I REALLY doubt will happen…hehe…Did you get in anywhere else?

Just wanna share a bit info with you guys.

There are 5400 international applications, but there are only 900 spaces. The international transfer applications are gonna be damn competitive. I gonna let go of UDub if they still cannot give me decision by this one or two days. :(

@just4ivaylo @oohshiny3289

I’m an anthropology major, 4.0 GPA, ~90 transfer credits, OOS community college. ^^

hello im not in college can someone help mi 2 be a great singer (NO OPERA)

what does oos community college mean? oh man BananaCreamPi you have a 4.0 you were already a shoe in! congrats!!

and also arekanderina I’m sorry you didnt get in
man and you have a higher GPA than me. I’m nervous now…

rejected with 46 credits OOS and a 3.6 GPA.

it was a crapshoot anyway, since its almost impossible to get in as an OOS sophomore transfer.

hopefully i’ll get in for grad school, but for now i’ll be at hampshire college in mass.

good luck to everyone else!

@nicolles yep, it was between UW and hampshire college in mass. who gave me quite a hefty scholarship. even if i hadn’t been rejected from UW, i probably wouldn’t have gone because you basically have to sell your limbs to pay back those out of state loans. good luck!

when you’re applying as a transfer, do the number of credits you transfer with matter that much? do they actually use that as a deciding factor?

@oohshiny…that sucks…I’m sorry. Even if you knew you probably wouldn’t accept it still sucks to be rejected…
but hey, mass is cool too
Congrats!

@unconditional, most state schools expect a minimum amount of credits simply because they want kids to go in and out asap. Additionally, juniors have a longer academic history (in college) so they can judge you better. Many students do really well in high school and really badly in college and vicecersa…so yeah, the number of credits is (at least in state schools) a deciding factor. I don’t know what the rules in washington are, but I can tell you that in california for example, the MINIMUM number of credits required to qualify as a transfer student is 60. Anything below that is simply not sufficient and used as a basis to deny you admission. Likewise, they actually have a maximum number of credits too (80 i think?).

If you think about it it makes sense too. Cause why would schools want an undecided sophomore when they can accept a focused junior who will graduate sooner? Especially since most sophomores are undeclared…

i agree that number of transfer credits matter
but you would think that they would want to you transfer with less since they would make more money that way! ![]()
but yeah i think it proves that you have a better handle on college and are more prepared when you come in

by that logic, they’d also let in a lot more OOS applicants. which they don’t.

its really hard to get in as a sophomore. they make a point of saying if you have less than 45 credits at the time you apply then you probably won’t get in.

no hard feelings :)

omg…still in the received stage…anyone else in the same boat?

ME TOO!!! omg…and I’m instate transfer too -________-

dude…I feel like they’ll let us know in like august…I swear…I mean, it’s taken them FOREVER!!! I submitted mine like a gazillion years ago too…
