I have read the required materials dozens of times....and while filling out the Common App, I noticed a few things wrong:

On the Common App, they ask for the following:

College Official's Report------>College Official (Dean, Advisor)

Instructor Evaluation ------> College instructor or secondary school teacher
*- Secondary School Report ------> Secondary School Counselor *

For CALS, is this even required? I couldn't find it anywhere on Cornell's website, but they do say "we require the Common App", and part of the Common App is that Secondary School Report under "Additional Forms..."

Do we send it in? Did you guys send it in?

Thank you

On the Common App, they ask for TWO recommendations...for certain schools in Cornell, I'm pretty sure only 1 is required..

Yes, you need to send in your high school information, including the secondary school report if your counsellor did not save it.

Yes; its on the checklist of things to send

In addition, while only one recommendation may be REQUIRED, that does not mean you should only send in one. You should send in two - three.

Wow.....now I'm really worried...

I still see no mention of it on Cornell's website. I just got my official final high school transcript sealed in an envelope (with proof of graduation on it), but I wasn't aware of having to send in an entire report on it...

The only mention of high school related materials I see are: "Final high school transcript (secure official copy and send with your application materials)"

http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/Transfer%20Application%20Booklet.pdf - Go to page 5, and the check list on the right mentions each and every single piece of paper, and I just see the official final hs transcript on it...

Can anyone else help out?

I don't think it's required for all the schools. I'm applying to the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and I talked to them, and they said that they did not want the secondary school report.

I call them Tuesday and they said the ONLY thing they need from our high school is our final official high school transcript. Thats all. The rest comes from your college such as the official college report, college transcript, and recommendations. Things like that.

if anyone was there at the transfer day meeting thing, the dean of transfer admissions of the ILR school gave mention to how little weight they put on you SATs and high school materials. thank god too, cause i hated my counselor anyway... she was such a ho...

I was at transfer day!! I believe they are very transfer friendly schools!! I loved Transfer day and I can remember every part of it!
