I got a call at my permanent residence today saying that I’m in (!!!) and that acceptances are going out tomorrow…so…there’s that. Did this happen to anyone else???

What? No. Are you an international?

No, I’m from Pennsylvania. Maybe they’re doing calls by geographic distance?

Crap. I hope so…I’m in MA and super nervous now! Did they say decisions went out by mail today or did they mean they’d be posted on VBM today? (And congrats, btw)

Oh, and I guess now that people are back to being semi-active on the forum, it’s a good time to ask again: Does everyone’s Virtual Bryn Mawr still list “Campus Personal Information” on their Student Service page?? That section disappeared from mine about a month ago, and I was told it meant nothing, but I’d like to know if that’s actually true.

I got a call yesterday as well!
I was accepted.

Congrats. Are you at school in PA like radiosonde?

I guess I was accepted too because I received a mail-box from Peaches in regard to my admission decision. My phone was dead yesterday, so I couldn’t be able to recall her. She said she would give a call on Monday. I will tell u guys my decisions on Monday. Good luck to everyone!

Transfer014, I haven’t checked my VBM in ages (even after calling the help line, I only got it to work two or three times and I pretty much gave up) but I seem to remember the same Campus Personal Info thing disappeared for me on my last visit. So I think you’re fine and that it really doesn’t mean anything.

Good luck everyone! And if you haven’t gotten a call don’t assume that you’re not in - I would call asap on Monday and ask about the status of your application, even if you’ve done that once or twice before.

Has anyone who applied as a McBride transfer heard anything…?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using CC App

no I attend school in Ohio

Ah, ok. Has anyone else heard? Did they tell you all transfer decisions were being sent out this past Friday?

I called and the woman in the office didn’t know when decisions were due to come out. Uh.

I just called Peache. She told me the call on Friday was to inform me I got admitted and the package was along the way. Good luck with eveyone else!

I also got a call Friday and was accepted!

Did anyone apply to Barnard? It will not issue decisions until the last week of May. It is very annoying…

I am going nuts right now. Congrats to all who got in, but if anyone else gets a call/returns Peaches’ call, can you ask if ALL decisions went out by mail Friday (including rejections)??

And @vinnie, that’s so horrible! Have they given a specific date?

Transfer014, here’s all that I know:

I’m fortunate enough to attend school about 40 minutes away from Bryn Mawr by train, and I got to visit this morning. I sent an email to Peaches in advance and she set up a tour for me with a currently situated transfer student. After my tour I got to meet her and she said that (unlike what she told my mother on the phone on Saturday) acceptances were mailed TODAY and would be there within 1-2 days. I am still unclear as to whether she meant JUST acceptances, or rejections and waitlists (do they do those for transfers at BMC?) as well. I have her card with her email and phone number if you’d like me to PM you those.

Radiosonde, thank you so much for the info! I will probably just wait it out at this point, but thank you for the contact info offer.

How did your visit go? Do you think you’ll attend BMC next year?

No problem! I’m happy to help out fellow transfers. Where else have you applied? I think I remember your username from a few months back on the Smith transfer boards.

My visit went extremely well, everyone was friendly and since it was only me and the tour guide who had experience with transferring I got at least one transfer’s perspective (she was very positive, involved in lots of activities and some kind of summer social science research in Indonesia [i forget the exact details] and I felt she was more genuine than most tour guides I’ve met in this whole college visiting process). The campus is so gorgeous and the academics seem amazing, but I’m trying to decide between BMC and Smith at the moment, so the decision is extra hard.
