Transfers?

Has anyone who applied for transfer to Davidson heard back yet? I just got my letter today (admitted) even though their published date for mailing decisions was after May 15th. Just curious to see who else might be transfering.

I want to transfer next year...but i have no idea wat to do...what were your stats (High School and College)? Also do you know anyone who transferred for soph. status?

My HS GPA was not great (really tough private school, not that that excuses anything). My College GPA was 3.41 last semester and looking like 3.7 this semester. However, a lot more goes into getting into Davidson than just grades. For instance, I believe I had exception essays, especially my reasons for transfering. The other big thing is that this has been my first choice school since junior year of high school. They've heard and seen a lot of me over the past couple years, so interest is key. Hope this helps.

And no, I don't know of anyone else who has transfered soph. status or otherwise. Where are you going this year?

actually im a senior in hs (i know there's a chance ill like my school, etc.) and im going to xavier in new orleans next year. my HS GPA is around of 3.7 but i got an F last year in my math class and will most likely get a D in my physics class last year. on the on the other hand i am in IB and all of my classes this year have been either AP or IB. I'm really involved in my high school, (president of two clubs, leadership in a couple others...given every non-academic honor, recieved a couple of academic honors), i work, and i have 200+ hours of community service. i did the july experience at davidson before senior year, and im pretty sure that i didnt get in this year b/c of the math and physics grades. I want to transfer after one year...but i dont know if i can really redeem myself (in the admissions eyes) after just one year....

thanks for the advice!

anyone else?
