Transfers!

Hey! I am curious to see who got accepted, and who will be attending Cornell as a transfer in the fall.

School in Cornell: CALS- Biological Sciences Major
Entering Class: Sophmore, Class of 2010
Will You Be Attending?: Most likely, I'm going to visit again later this week, and I am gonna wait on a few more schools, but I think I'll end up at Cornell next fall.

Good luck to all who have yet to receive decisions, and congrats to all accepted!

ILR, sophmore class of 2010. attending baring divine intervention where I get into Dartmouth or Harvard.

hey dancergal, i applied to CALS aswell to enter as a junior as an AEM major. if you dont mind would you share your stats and school? just curious, also how did you learn of your acceptance? sorry for the questions im just very anxious! congrats and i really hope to be seein you there hah

I just found out I was accepted to AEM. The letter was dated April 16th. Im surprised it was so early. Im not home so my mail is piling up and it got lost, so I just found out today.

hey tehrahk if you dont mind what are your stats at the school you are transferring out of? congrats!!!

HS GPA: 88/100
College (CC): 3.9/4
SAT: 1200/1600

I have a ton of ECs (Many Leadership and Volunteer), Many Awards, First Generation, Study Abroad and an Internship. I also worked 50 hours a week while in school. I think the rest made up for my SAT score.

^ Tehrahk - where did you come from (what college)?

He(or she) said CC which I assume is community college.. i guess it only matters whether it was instate or not. I applied to AEM from a CC also so this might be promising :P

it seems like everyone transferring into Cornell is from a CC... i hope there isn't a preference?

Im from SDSU, I haven't heard yet

They say there isn't, though I imagine you need to present a good reason as to why you're transfering. At least that's what they usually say.

Yeah it´s a community college in New York. I cant wait to attend! Thanks for the congrats too. Ive heard that Cornell likes CC transfers as long as they do well, so good luck. I´m also instate, I don´t know if that matters for transfers. Although I´ll be paying less to attend.

hopeforcornell-

high school gpa - 104.1 weighted (2nd in class of 150ish)
sat - 1990- 1300/1600
college gpa- 3.3 at NYU

Tons of ECs, lots of volunteer hours and work experience, first generation, instate for CALS Biological Sciences

my college gpa is not stellar, but I guess my high school stats make up for it. And I guess coming from a decent school doesn't hurt either.

I first got a letter in the mail, then two days later the online thing was updated, and then a day or two later I got a big package from Cornell as well.

Good luck to everyone who has yet to hear!

Accepted to ILR. Don't know if im going

accepted: ILR, def going
