Transfers

Post here if you're a transfer and freaking out like me.

I am...decisions are slowly very very slowly trickling out.

How can anyone not be?!

The page you see as soon as you log in no longer says 'Cornell has not yet made a decision on your application' and instead, that line just isnt there. I know that for regular admission theres a fancy flash animation about cornell congratulating you if you get in, but I don't have one. Did everyone have that change on their status page or should I take this as a bad sign that I'm about to get a thin envelope?

For now I'll assume the worst as everyone always does in this process

they send out decisions already??

flyingfencer, i read somewhere on the transfer board that once the "cornell has not yet made a decision on your application..." message goes away they will post the decision in like 24-48 hours.

I heard the same thing as otpyg, hopefully you get good news in the next couple of days... I'm still waiting for my couple of days to come... Good luck all.

And yes, I'm freaking out like you.

This is kinda a general question for all you transfers, why is it that you decided to transfer? I'm just curious because I was rejected RD this year and I'm considering applying as a transfer next year, but I'm not really sure if it would be worth it (socially, etc). I guess I'm just looking for any input from you guysss

"I know that for regular admission theres a fancy flash animation about cornell congratulating you if you get in,"

There is? I'm an RD admit to CAS, and I don't see any flash animations on the congratulation page.

Bryan: I think there was (or used to be) one for the class of 2008 as far as I know.

annyny419: I am applying mainly for the academics.

flyingfencer: I also do not see that "COrnell has not made a decision blahblablha" line anymore since last night. But as of right now, still no updates.

Maybe tonight? I know they update ones a day, but for some reason, the status page updated already 11 or midnite last nite.

Good luck to all.

Hey everybody!!

I got in!! My parents just got the letter back at home and called me here at school!! I'm....still absorbing it. But very excited!! I wish all of you the BEST luck - decisions are coming soon, apparently! It was really surprising to find out now...I didn't expect it for another month. Good luck everyone, and let me (and everyone here) know how you do!

Katie

Congrats LilacGirl!
Which college did you apply to? Does it say on the online status page that you are accpeted?

ME TOOO!

Wow I'm soo relieved, now I can go back and be normal again. Guys, I wish all of you the very best! I hope I can see every single one of you at Cornell this fall!!!

WOOOO!!! Someone is taying up late in the admissions department up there - they updated mine just now and I got in. Look forward to seeing you all next year

best wishes to everyone still waiting for their (hopefully good) news

CNCL,

The message disappeared. One the decision is up, you can see "Check Decision" in bold font.

My heart dropped when I saw that. IT appears that they update LATE at night.

Good luck!

congrats to all who have gotten in so far. awesome.

what schools and majors did you guys applied to?

Congrats to EVERYONE!!!

CNCL - it's just like kkl230 said. And...I applied to CAS.

Everyone - where are you thinking about living next year? And where's everyone coming from?

I'm thinking about the Transfer Center most likely (even though...someone said they were knocking it down...but idk about that)...or Risley because I'm artsy, or Eco because I'm a hippie. But the Transfer Center seems like the easiest way to make friends, don't you think?

Oh yeah, and I'm coming from Hofstra University on Long Island.

CONGRATULATIONS everyone, and GOOD LUCK if you haven't heard yet!!

Really, Gratz to everyone who got accepted as I still eagerly awaits my decision. I think they should expediate their decision so I don't have to check online like a madman. Got my fingers crossed. I hope to see all of you next fall.

Best of Luck,
--Kat

Are you all transfer applicants? I am, and there's still that stupid "Cornell has not made a fricken decision on your fricken application" thingie. I'm not bitter... just sick of checking every two minutes when I should be studying. Anywho, congrats to all you acceptees! Also, to all of you 'acceptess,' which colleges did you apply to within Cornell? Any CASers?
