Thanks "gomestar"
I am from South Korea about 2 years ago and now living in Canandaigua.

Yeah, see you at Conrnell~~

congrats ahrry1984.

for those who have been accepted, how long does cornell give you to accept?

June 1rst is the reply date. I believe it is the same for everyone no matter when you get your acceptance.

i thought it was 2 weeks later or june 1st, whichever earlier.

Is there anyone who is applying to engineering besides the ones that already posted in this thread? There must be more than just a few, stop lurking around and tell us if you have heard anything!

kittykatt, I think it's 2 weeks after notification or June 1st, whichever is later.

maybe tomorrow........... ;)

CNCL
I am applying to Cornell Engineering , computer science department. I am majoring in computer science at Stony Brook University currently!

I want to go there. C'mon Cornell, Give me admission please, I beg you.

What's ur major CNCL?

My current major is computer science as well, but I applied to ece/engineering physics. Are you applying for sophmore standing? What courses have you completed/are taking?

Yes, Sophmore Standing, I took General Physics, General Chemistry, Writing, Computer Science Programming I and II, Computer Science Discrete Math. , Philosophy "Logical Reasoning" , and Intro to Economy.

Yea and Astronomy !

What about you CNCL?

Did you complete their major requirements? It seems those are a pretty big deal to them, alongside with GPA, etc. Applying for sophmore standing as well.
Courses taken/ongoing:
Calc II & III, Physics I & II, Chem I, 2 semesters of writing, 2 semesters of introductory electrical engineering courses

Yea I guess so. my GPA is higher than 3.5 but I think they will reject me anyway. I got a rejection from CMU last Friday so that means another rejection from Cornell as well.
I joined couple of regional and national competitions in robotics and my last one was the micromouse contest at the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) Region 1 Student Conference in Buffalo, NY last April. I want to go to Cornell because I want to concentrate in robotics; this field is not available in Stony Brook.

Just trying anyway, I know I will get rejection.

oh I forgot also, I took Calc I , II and Linear Algebra.

Also, I took a year of Writing, General Chemistry and General Physics. not only one course of each.

By the end of this semester I will have about 58 credits with GPA about 3.62 or higher.

Hey lighten up, you never know. I might as well get rejected, shouldn't worry too much at this time anyway, the bulk of the decisions are probably already made.

58 credits? How many class are you taking per semester? Are they from APs or anything else?

17 credits Spring 2004
14 credits Summer I and II 2004
16 Credits Fall 2004
16 credits Spring 2005

It is exactly 63 Credits. No AP , Regular Classes.

You are only short of a few credits to have junior standing, so you will probably be a junior if accepted (assuming all the credits transfer), class of '07. I'm applying for sophmore standing and I will only have around 34 credits (33 of which should be transferrable) by the end of this semester.

CNCL, What about you? how many credits have you taken so far?

Where are you now in New York?
