Anyone transferring to Duke in the fall? Anyone? Anyone?

well... maybe... i was waitlisted

I may be. I got in to Trinity, but I also got into Harvard. It's a tough decision.

What major/department are you looking at? It really depends on the strength of the academic program.

as much as i love duke, that's really a no-brainer

Well, I dunno...I'm looking at polysci/government and women's studies for sure, but I love journalism. Harvard's great in gov. but it barely touches womens studies, and journalism in nonexistant, unless you pursue it as an EC. Unless I'm mistaken. Any ideas? And how would picking one over the other be a nobrainer? they're both amazing schools.

If Harvard's got great government, but lacks in women's studies and journalism, then Duke seems to win 2 to 1. ^_^
Don't forget that you can always go somewhere else for professional school, and that the education you receive at the undergraduate level will only be enhanced by going to different universities.
I have it easy since I'm doing BME =]

transferbme, you got accepted to duke as a transfer? If you did, congrats! you and me make up 2 of the 16! :)

I know 16 people! I feel so special. beams Ok...let's pop the head balloon now.
You need to go to Duke! I don't know anyone there and I'm afraid that they won't integrate the transfers as well as the first years because we have to live on West Campus.
