does neone know nething about oncampus housing for transfers? cus i don't wanna be stuck with a bunch of 1st years (no offense)

i would also like to know more about this as i’m interested in dorming if i get in (im a transfer obviously)

i talked to shannon back in late january and she told me that theres a good chance for transfers to dorm in the new building that should be completed in time for the 2009-10 year and that building is not an option for 1st years, but for sophs and up. maybe you can look into dorming in that building

yea, i’ll probably call the school tomorrow and see what is going on because housing apps are due by may 1st (even for transfers!) i’ll let you know! good luck! :)

i called… theres nothing special for transfers… the only thing they will do is “assign us accordingly” by our interests and age… but its still no guarantee that you won’t be stuck with 1st years.

oh damn… did they say anything about the availability? im scared that ill get my results after may 1st

i didn’t ask for availability… i’m looking more into living off campus now though.

yea… i think i should do that too, although i’d prefer dorming.

but then again, i haven’t even been accepted yet hahahaha

lol, if yo udon’t mind me asking, whats your stats?

lol what do you mean by stats?
like decision pending? cuz that’s what i am right now

lolol nooo, like your GPA, major, etc.

haha my current major is art but i applied for film production at Dodge.
i have a 3.7 right now D: nothing special to put on my application though.
so i’m kinda scared right now haha

oh i’m sure you’ll get in. is chapman your first choice? are you local as well? lol, i live like 10 minutes from chapman.

chapman is the only school i applied to, if i don’t get in i’ll just stay at my current school (csulb) and change my major to film. and i live in cerritos. i think its like 20 min away?

i think the neighborhood around chapman is so pretty! since you’re a local, do you know how much the apartments go for around there? if i don’t get to dorm, i’ll have to do that haha

haha. cerritos is nearby. well, i was looking at rates around apartments near chapman and its pretttyyyy pricy… well the decent ones at least. i found a one bedroom for about 1000? and a 2 bedroom for 1500? i think chapman’s area is a bit tricky… there are some super nice places but like the next few blocks are completely bad…

haha that’s what i thought. it’s the same with my current school, some areas are really nice/decent but some look dangerous D:

it would just suck if i cant sign up for dorms because i dont even know anyone that goes/lives there so then i’d have to look for random roommates haha

hahaa same hereeee. but i realllyyy don’t want to live with first years… i heard their alcohol rules are extremely strict… i’m no alcoholic but i like to have my occasional drink on.

haha i don’t drink so i don’t have a problem with that, but i wouldn’t want to live with first years… iono i usually get along better with people around my age or older. have you visited their dorms?

nooo i have not. have you? i’ve seen the pictures on chapman’s site but they aren’t too vivid. how old are you neways?

i haven’t. but i’m trying to schedule a visit/tour if i get in. and i’m 20, you? when did you hear your results?

i’m 20 as well. my webadvisor changed on april 15th and i got my official packet like the 18th? i actually called today to see if they have visits/tours for hosuing and the lady said they don’t but what ppl do is just go to the dorms and ask students to see their rooms and the students are usually welcoming and answer questions if you have any.
