What colleges are easy/not impossible (haha) to transfer into for musical theatre?

I’m not sure that any of them are easy! I do know that Syracuse accepts transfers; students have to begin core acting/MT classes at the freshman level, however.

There has been quite a biy of discussion here before about transfers. You might try typing in the word transfer in the search this forum tool. It will pull up many prior discussions of this subject. And it is not an easy process for most people, from what i have read.

My daughter’s incoming freshman class at CMU has one transfer.

From time to time, Elon has accepted transfer students into MT, but they are required to audition.

Kent State, has accepted transfer students into their BFA MT program following an audition. They audition once in fall and once in the spring.

PSU accepts transfers but you must audition there as well.

I believe Illinois Wesleyan has one transfer student in MT this year.

JMU accepts transfers into the MT program on a space available basis. This year we have 3 incoming transfer students from other schools and 3 internal JMU transfer students. This is an unusually large group. Most years we have only accepted 1 or 2 transfer students total. JMU is an auditioned BA.
