Alright guys how hard was the transition from community college to Marshall? Community college isn't all that difficult, so that's why I'm kind of scared of moving up to the big boys.

Thanks!

can i ask what your stats were at your cc? b/c im thinking of applying to usc....i cant answer your question about marshall, but my friend recently transfered to USC from a CC and said it just goes a bit faster, but its not anything to rigorous to handle.

With 5 more classes to go, I have a 3.82. I still need to take Calc 1, Science, Lab, Spanish, Accounting 102.

The transition to Marshall is not hard if your community college was effective in teaching you how to be self-sufficient. The sheer size of Marshall makes it important for each student to be able to work successfully on their own since most of your introduction classes will be rather large. As long as you stay on top of your work and keep track of your general position in comparison to the rest of the class (because of the curve) you should be fine.

Moss, are you a sophomore or junior transfer, and what were your hs stats like, if you don't mind?

I will be transferring as a junior. My HS stats suck. I had probably like a 2.2 gpa average throughout high school until I stopped slacking off my senior year and hit like a 3.9 gpa.

What are your SAT scores? They will still be important.

I didn't even bother taking the SATs. Will this matter? Hopefully SC won't base their decision on how I did in HS.

I just took a look at the SC app and they only request for an official high shool transcript. Bah. I guess I'll have to step it the hell up this semester and get push a high 3.8/3.9 cumulative. If they deny me with those stats, UCLA here I come, and save 50k in the process haha.
