I was born, raised and currently living in New Jersey. I live in a suburban area. I’m very friendly and outgoing. I do not plan on “going Greek”. I do plan on being a part of the Ole Miss woman’s track and field team. I am going to be taking the 5(6) year occupational therapy course they have as a 2+3(+1). I would appreciate it very much if anyone could give me any advice on how fitting in would be and if I’d end up being okay or not. I already have a friend who lives down in Brandon, but i won’t be seeing them much since it is a quite a little while away from Oxford.
It’s going to be FAR AND AWAY different for you. Mississippi is a rural area and Oxford is tiny. Greek life is HUGE at Ole Miss. Of course, your coach may actively discourage team members from joining Greek groups, but a LOT of the campus is going to be partying at the frat house year 'round.
