Hello all! Does anyone know the best companies for translating academic transcripts from other countries? (That isn’t the WES because they don’t have much experience with my country)

Too bad WES cannot help you. They appear to be the most widely used agency for evaluating high school credentials for college admissions; they are very transparent about how they operate (e.g. they will give you access to their grade and degree equivalency tables before you pay them any money); and they are more generous when converting grades than many of their competitors.
I’d recommend you stay away from ECE. I have heard multiple complaints that ECE converted grades “at face value” from applicants who later got a second evaluation from WES with much better grades.

You need to find out which evaluations are accepted by the colleges and universities you will apply to. Many will only accept evaluations from WES.
I am surprised that WES doesn’t have much experience with your country. Did they tell you that, or did you get that information from somewhere else?
Thank you b@r!um. I am from the Dominican Republic, but WES’s grade conversion table literally states to refer to the grades on the transcript, so I’ll have to check with them later on.
happymomof1, I’ll definitely check with them later on, I’ve consulted different companies in the time being, but they all have different different scales, so it appears that I’m back to square one and I’ll have to go to back WES to at least confer. Thanks!
