What is most convenient way for students in DC area using to get to OSU campus? Thanks for suggestions.

a plane, but that’s just me :D

Is there a non-stop flight? If so, what airline and airport?

use travelocity.
it works wonders.

I’m sure you can fly direct from DC to Columbus. The airport is about a 15 minute car ride away. I believe taxi fare is about $25 each way.

Does anyone know if there is a shuttle bus service that runs from OSU to Port Columbus. If so, any idea of the cost?

Thanks.

Before breaks you can take a bus to the airport. It runs through campus and then goes to the airport. My D prefers taking a cab: much more direct. There is no “shuttle” service though.

Thanks very much.

IAD or DCA or BWI to CMH nonstop: Delta, USA Air, United, Southwest

Drive to Columbus from DC. It’s only six and a half hours down 1-70, and saves a lot of money. It’s not a very unpleasant drive, all freeway all the way. Airfare isn’t really worth it. You have to show up 1.5-2 hours early and go through screenings, and take the cab or bus. Flying to DC only takes two hours, but if you add all the extra transition time associated with air travel you find yourself saving less than an hour of time. Also, car travel offers door-to-door convenience.

I disagree with the previos post. CMH is virtually minutes from campus. No need to get there 2 hours prior to flight. It’s a great airport with free Internet, too. I’d rather pay more (though gas prices are going up again), for the convenience. Plus, I wouldn’t want my child driving in late November/December weather.
