Transportation in College?

Besides cars, how do people at your college/university get around. A friend of mine at UCSB says alot of people choose to bike/skate, is that popular at alot of campuses? I know at some of them, things such as skateboards and bikes are banned on campus.

We walk. Actually, we've been ice skating to class for the last week... Very few people living on campus drive to their classes.

Walking. Some do bikes, a couple use motorcycles, and there's a shuttle but it doesn't cover that much of the campus. Few actually drive to the classes, as parking can get horrendous and you just don't want to move your car once you find a space.

Um I walk everywhere, I haven't been on a vehicle in a long time while on campus.

even though my school has a really good transportation system which will take you anywhere, and its really fast. They are even talking about putting a monorail around my school to speed up transportation to the 3 campuses in Buffalo, NY

Best transportation, in order from best to least:
1. your feet...they're there for a reason
2. bike
3. campus bus
4. scooter/motorcycle/golfcart
5. car
6. plane

Um...NYU. I'm going to be walking. A LOT. And subway, bus, train, whatever.

As everyone else has said, people in college walk almost everywhere. There's also bikes, buses, and there's been an increasing number of skateboards around lately.

There's one kid at my school that rides a unicycle everywhere. Sadly, I haven't seen him bust his ass yet :(

walk, shuttles, cars...

"There's one kid at my school that rides a unicycle everywhere. Sadly, I haven't seen him bust his ass yet"

Haha, seems like theres always an oddball. I've yet to see someone on a unicycle outside the circus
