Does anyone go to Dartmouth from the Boston area? We live south of Boston and are curious how students get back and forth on the bus line. I've seen postings that buses go from Dartmouth into Boston, but was wondering if students get them from campus, or do they have to travel into some other part of Hanover to catch the bus. When we drove to Hanover it was about 2 1/2 hours and was curious how long the trip was.

The bus line is the Dartmouth Coach. It stops right across the street from the Green at the hotel. It seems to work out fine. Students take this bus to Boston regularly. It takes about the same amount of time as driving a car.

It takes about 3 hours. The bus is a decent coach with WiFi that works 0% of the time. (In all fairness we are traveling though the middle of nowhere)

If you are traveling to and from NY (around 6 hours) you get a really nice bus but it cost $75 one way.

Thanks so much for the info!

If you’re in a hurry, there are flights from Logan to Lebanon (5 miles from campus) for about $60 too.
