Transportation to Penn

I want to visit Penn Via Train. I’m departing from Penn Station in NY. Besides, amtrak, is there a cheaper way to get there?

Well its not a train but Chinatown buses. 20 bucks for a round trip.

You can take NJ Transit from Penn Station to Trenton and then get on the SEPTA Regional Rail (R7).

It's really easy to do and about $24 round trip. Basically when you get off of the NJ Transit Train the SEPTA train is waiting right next to it. It's a very common commute.

Here's the PDF for the SEPTA schedule: http://www.septa.com/service/sched/pdfs/R7.pdf

what happen if you are from boston, ma

Amtrak is great. I love the acela. 5 hours to do all my homework on the way to Boston and 5 more on the way back. Plus you have so much space it's rediculous.

can transfer students have a chance to stay overnight at Wharton? Or is that just for entering 1st yr students

Check out the P2P Circulator Bus, round trip is $25 and leaves from Penn Station to Philadelphia

how does that work if I'm from Boston, do i have to have travel to NY first then take p2p to PENN station then to Phily or what? I checked out the website, but it's kind of confusing though

take amtrak for simplicity's sake.

You can take the Chinatown bus from Boston too, IIRC. You might have to go via NY though.

You can fly from BOS to PHL...

It deoends if you want to get here easily or cheaply.
Easy would definately be amtrack orflying
But cheap depends on how coplex you are willing to get, the simpe version being taking a Greyhound bus all the way to philly, Complex versions involve multiple trains and complicated transefers(not suggested unless you really need to get here cheap) but look into Greyhound its cheap to begin with and I think they have some deals going on right now, good luck!
