Yo, guys. In a little over a month my family and I are going to be traveling to Princeton for a campus visit, but we're lost when it comes to Northeast transportation cue hillbilly music (just what is a train?). I'm trying to look up good deals on train tickets from NYC to Princeton and from Princeton to Philadelphia, but I don't even know where to start. Any suggestions? Mucho mas gracias!

Go to NJ Transit: http://atisweb.njtransit.com/cgi-bin/itin_page.pl#TOP Click on Landmark when it asks you your street address, and put NYC Penn Station for NYC and Princeton University at the other end. You will travel from NYC Penn Station (careful, there's a Penn Station in Newark, too) to Princeton Junction, and then take the Dinky (small train) right to the Princeton campus. You can also plan your trip to Philly on this web page. Have fun. Enjoy your visit.

bows Many thanks, aparent. I can't wait. :)

Oh coming all the way to NY/NJ/PA! How exciting. Don't worry, NJ transit is pretty good, and the SEPTA takes you to philly from jersey.

Man, this is going to be so crazy. I've never ridden a train before. It's gonna be wiiiild, heh :)

lol that is so cute!

Haha, I feel like a little kid again. I'll probably be glued satellite-eyed to the window, hitting my mom on the shoulder and pointing things out as they rush by. It'll be good to visit the Big Apple again, too. So much has changed since I last went (which was back in the summer of 2000).

we should gather a group of nyc people to meet you!

That would be the sheez! I can see the "Welcome to the Big City, Country Boy" signs now, lol.

NJ Transit is 16.25 for an off peak round trip ticket btw Princeton and NYC.

Welcome to the big city, country boy! You may not want to go back to Texas after you visit New Jersey, the garden state.

You may be able to take the Amtrak from Princeton Junction to Philadelphia.

Enjoy!

Hahaha, very cool. And thanks for the rate, Mzhang :)
