I was planning to get a bike, until thought about bring rollerblades. Any suggestions?

Sorry! Transportation!

Bike isn’t all that necessary unless you have classes back to back in DRL and something like Leidy Labs. If you want though, I know people who find it handy. Rollerblades is a new one. I think that would be kind of a hassle just because you need to change into shoes and whatnot. Just my thoughts though!

Yeah bikes are very common… roller blades, not so much. I’d stick with a bike if I were you. The amount of time you’d save using roller blades compared to walking is minuscule when you consider how long it takes to put them on and take them off. Bikes, on the other hand, made it so I could leave my house at 42nd and Locust at 8:54 and be in DRL by 9AM last year!

Roller blades + Locust = bumpy ride

Won’t be much better trying to weave through the sidewalks.

Longboard: check

Thanks so much for your suggestions! Rollerblades are out of the question!

I remember visiting Penn last year, and boy…the amount of times I tripped on Locust!

I suppose a longboard would be fine, seeing as they handle bumpy/uneven surfaces well.

I agree that a bike could be helpful, but at the same time, Penn isn’t like Stanford where you pretty much need a bike because the campus is so large. It’s a relatively small campus, so I haven’t found that a bike’s necessary. It couldn’t hurt though.
