So, I have 1 semester of a 4.0GPA, and my previous coursework years ago averages my GPA to a 3.5 at my CC and should be the same this semester, and was wondering if I should retake the ACT? I had started college a while back, and then had to stop for a while. Now I am about 23, I should be in the non traditional category, and am not sure if retaking the ACT matters at all. I still have 1 more semester of coursework to finish before I try and transfer to another school. I have not done the ACT writing though. I was thinking of trying to transfer to MIT after I finish the transfer requirements in the fall, and I would have been in my CC for 1.5 years. Also, how much does my highschool grades influence admission?

from what i understand, depending on school, they do not take into consideration your high school transcript or test scores if you have more than 26 - 30 college credits completed.

^^most schools dont do that unless you’ve been out of high school for at least 5 years, but again it depends on the school.

MIT requires SAT II’s in addition to SAT or ACT w/ writing, I’m pretty sure

Does MIT consider your ACT scores if you’ve retaken them while your in college?
