This morning I heard that there are still roads & bridges closed and power outages (gas stations closed) between Nashville & Memphis, so the surrounding areas may be experiencing the same.

You might check out the TDOT site for updates

I wasn’t real concerned until I saw parts of I-65 underwater on the weather channel last night.

I thought it would receed by the time I came through but apparently there is no where for the water to go?

I think I will go through Knoxville to be safe. Are there any problems in Northern Alabama?
Just asking because we drive across the Tennessee River that seems to just spread out…

Hey sorry to join the conversation late. I am in Nashville. At this point all major roads are open. I 65 South of Nashville is fine; looks like north of the city is fine too. The Cumberland River crested this morning and is starting to receed (Halleluia!) that’s what’s flooding LP Field, the Bridgestone Arena & Opryland. The only flooding I see on any major roads is on Briley Parkway, but you won’t be going on there.

I would definitely fill your tank at the KY/TN state line; I heard a few gas stations were out.

The Harpeth River receded dramatically last night so you should be fine. I-40 & I-24 were the highways that got hit hardest but they were almost 100% last night.

I think you’ll be fine.

There’s not a lot of traffic anyway since all school districts (EXCEPT MINE!!!) are out due to flooding.

I think the pics of I-65 that were on the Weather Channel were from Sunday; they had some issues at I-65 & 440 but those resolved. It’s been beautiful here yesterday & today so the water has had a chance to dry out in some places.
