HI, I wanted to know what the best option in terms of time and money to travel to campus. I was in particular interested in knowing some early morning (like 6am) bus/train services which are not expensive.

Also is it easy for students to travel by themselves?

Go here for identity of the different services and then click on the ones listed: [Getting to Champaign-Urbana - Study Abroad, University of Illinois](http://www.studyabroad.illinois.edu/exchange/accepted/cu.aspx). You can catch the Illini Shuttle at the airport and apparently also the LEX bus (I know of the Illini shuttle but have not used LEX). The Shuttle makes a few suburban stops from the airport and then goes to UIUC and is what i consider your best option particularly since it makes three stops on campus and thus can put you fairly close to wherever you are going. The Amtrak train is a fairly fast trip but you have to first get to downtown Chicago (via taxi or El train from O’Hare) and you then have to get from station to campus in Champaign.
