Other than by car or taxi, what is the quickest way to Philly from Princeton? I heard that it takes only an hour, but when I was checking train routes it quoted about 2.5 hours.

Thanks!

Take NJ Transit from Princeton to Trenton. Then get on the SEPTA R7 which will take you to 30th St. Station in Philadelphia. It usually takes between an hour and a half and an hour and 45 minutes. Round trip off peak costs $24.25. If you’re really in a hurry you could get on an Amtrak train once you get to Trenton, but this is pretty expensive.

aight! Thanks man

take Amtrak from Princeton Junction to Philadelphia. Cost is $24 one-way and takes 40 minutes.

Yeah sorry I forgot you can get on Amtrak at Princeton Junction. I wish Amtrak weren’t so expensive because I have to go to Philly fairly often.

if you can drive (ie sophomore year), it is much faster, ~40 minutes-45 minutes. All of the train transfers add up! Also, not many amtrak trains stop in princeton junction, only like 1 or 2 a day. If you ever need to catch amtrak for another reason (D.C.?) your best bet is to take njtransit to trenton and get amtrak there.
