Calling all 2012 Applicants...........

Hello! Can’t wait until April 15th!

Hi! I have my interview today…kind of nervous.

They’re already conducting interviews? Please don’t tell me that I didn’t make it :(

When did you receive notification of an interview?

Yeah, I feel like it’s kind of early to already be having an interview. I thought we’d all know of the decisions by the 15th and that they’d begin conducting interviews afterwards. Guess not.

Interviews already? Wow

Got an email from them a couple of days ago…didn’t make it to the next round. Best of luck to those who did! :)

ohmynats13, what exactly did the email say? I haven’t received anything yet. I’m beginning to accept that I didn’t make it. Oh well. There’s always next year.

Didn’t make it either, here’s what the email looks like:

Dear _____,

Thank you for applying to Trials and for sharing your story with us. We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you a place in the 2012 Trials class. This decision was not easy: we received thousands of applications for just twenty spots, making acceptance to Trials more competitive than admissions to many of the leading law schools to which we are hoping to broaden access. In most cases, our decisions reflect not our assessment of an individual candidate’s ability to succeed in law school, but rather the hard fact that we received applications from many, many more qualified and deserving applicants than we could possibly accommodate.

While we do appreciate that this decision may be a disappointment for you, we hope you will continue to pursue your interest in the law. Reading the personal statements of so many enthusiastic, outstanding applicants has inspired our great confidence in the next generation of lawyers. This admission cycle has only strengthened our conviction that increased diversity and inclusiveness at law schools will result in an influx of talent and energy to the legal profession.

We wish you continued success in all of your future academic and professional endeavors.

sAfuRos, when did you apply?

is it okay to call and find out the status of our application? i have not heard back yet.

nyu2012now, you might as well. i still haven’t heard a thing.

still nothing…a notification would be nice.

Has anyone who made it through the 2nd round heard back about the final decision? They said April 15th on the website, but so far I haven’t heard anything. It could be because it was a Sunday yesterday, but just curious if anyone else knows yet?

I was accepted! Anyone else out there accepted?

Maslo89 - I too am a semifinalist and I haven’t heard anything back. I tried calling and e-mailing them, but I didn’t get a response. I am so anxious!

Congrats TRIALSNYU12! When did you hear about your result?

Still haven’t heard a thing. Congratulations TRIALSNYU12! How did your interview go?

Got my rejection letter, I’m really upset : ( At least someone made it, so congrats TRIALSNYU12!

trialshopeful12, I haven’t even gotten the letter for the first round (prior to the interview), fair to assume that I didn’t make it? Also, what about your application do you think made you stand out (if you don’t mind me asking)?
