48-41 over Liberty College

unbelieveable game... HOLD THE LINE! at 4th and inches was nuts, though I must say our storming of the field was pretty weak, with half the student section standing there watching. Get out there!

Let's see how they fare against VT next week. (uh oh)

well... 3 years ago our football team made the national semi finals, and they had to bring in lights (we didn't have any yet) so we could play on ESPN. The game that got us there, we were down 21 points at the start of the 4th quarter, came all the way back and won in 2OT. We stormed the field after that one.

2 years ago we beat Liberty 56-0. Since then they've got some IA transfers and have obviously improved. But really... rushing the field... I dunno. 2 years ago it was a slaughter, you have to understand why some of us are not as excited with barely winning in OT.

Clemson rushed the field when they beat FSU earlier this season, and FSU wasn't even ranked. Terrible. Rushing the field for beating a non-ranked team?

...and I'm going to Tech, it should be fun. See some friends and enjoy the game.

Florida State was ranked when Clemson beat them. In any case, rushing the field is an activity saved for beating a bitter rival, beating a much, much better team, or winning a championship of some sort. Beating Liberty in the third game of the season doesn't really fit any of those criteria, in my mind.

I stand corrected... they weren't ranked highly though. Still not appropriate to rush the field if you are clemson

I'd deem it acceptable in that situation just because of the history behind the Bowden Bowl, etc etc. It's a pretty big game for both teams, though moreso for Clemson because traditionally Florida State is an excellent team.

well I would disagree, but fair enough.

... if we beat Tech, I will rush the field though =P

I can certainly agree with that. Unfortunately, the VA Tech fans might not take too kindly to that in their stadium.

If W&M stays within 50 points it will be a miracle. Our only hope is that the offense can score at least 45 points. The defense is like a sieve. Delaware looked like they were playing a high school defense, so VT will probably run for at least 350 yards.

W&M has been like this forever: great offense, crappy defense. Year in and out.

I look at it this way. W & M is fine if they lose (nobody expects them to win) and GREAT if they win. VT definately has more on the line than we do.

I think if it's VT 49-21, you should be very happy.

I'm wondering if W&M will score.........let's hope so!

I think we will score a fair amount, would not be suprised to see over 20... but I'm pretty sure they will have their way with our defense.
