I'm a freshman in public HS in NYS. Last year, I took a full year of algebra - 2 semesters of the Math A regents requirement. This was strictly accelerated math, and I had a great teacher who taught well beyond the curriculum. As a result, I'm bored to tears in geometry. It's 9th grade accel students with 10th grade regular-track kids, and the teacher covers rudimentary concepts in excruciating material. I've taken practice Math A Regents, I know all the material.

So, I've been switched to Trig for my regular math class. But I'm kind of concerned. Is anyone familiar with the NY math curriculum? I'm not sure if there are concepts in the 2nd half of geometry that I won't know, or if this'll be a problem with trig. On top of this, I have 7 weeks of trig work to learn. Any advice would be welcome...I only know really basic tangent stuff. I know I'll have to make up the work and stay after with the teacher, but what else?

Oh, and I'm taking geometry at a CC nearby starting in January in order to have a "geometry experience" on my transcript says creepy academic dean lady.
