Hello, as I'm aware, no such program exists already on the TI-89 Titanium, and I can't find it ticalc archive, and this would be a very handy program to have for the Level 2 Math SAT II test . .. I thought I found the program online, but no, it wasn't it, but I think a user on here, Merudh Patel, may have created one? Anyone know for sure or anyone know any other useful trigonometric programs . . . ? All I found were the law of sines, cosines, etc, which is useful too, but a Trig Eq Solver would be excellent.

Agreed...I've tried solving trig equations and I get answers like (3948x-@3)/sinh and stuff....O_o

There's an excellent program that exists for solving trig equations. It's called doing it by hand.
end sarcasm

Seriously, isn't it more worth your time to learn to actually solve the equations than to look for a calculator program to do it for you? TI-89s are dangerous things; if you don't use one carefully, you'll find yourself acing math tests left and right without knowing any actual math.

do this: solve( trig function=something,x)l (0<x) and (x < 2pi)
then hit enter. Put in the less than or equal sign.

Yeah trust me, I know how to do them by hand, we spent a boring week on them, and we're not allowed to use any calculators on the tests during class, but for the math 2c it'd save a lot of time

ppierce, merudh has the program, but it doesn't work for me . . . . i asked him why, i'm waiting for him to respond, he goes by merudh123 on here. and your method doesn't work :(
I get Error: Constraint expression invalid

Edit, nevermind, it does work, I was putting the equation wrong. Thanks ppierce!!

Merudh's program works too, if you guys want it, all you have to do is select the program from varlink, put the equation,x,0,360, and it saves a lot of time instead of having to hunt for the <= sign and all

this is great, i love this site :)

hey sarah... yeah I haven't gotten around to answering much questions since I'm done with college admissions and stuff....but I'm free nowadays so if you guys have any questions ask away.

I'm thinking of updating the site soon, but for your reference its

enjoy....a verbal strategy section will be added soon

if it helps... I got a perfect score on the sats
