I am a bit behind because I didn't take Algebra I in middle school.

I really don't want to take trigonometry next year, and I want to do DE pre-calculus. This is because I want to be a science major. Also math has not been my best subject. That's because I didn't study. This year I made a 97 =)

Summer school is out of the question, not to mention they don't offer it. Virginia Virtual doesn't offer it. However, VV does have Pre-Calculus/Mathematical Analysis and it's prerequisites are successful completion of Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry. Do I not need trigonometry knowledge to take it? From my search I hear it is somewhat the same. This would mean I would be in AP Calculus for senior year?

Also I would rather take the SAT subject math II instead of I. I hear the curve is a lot better and it's more straight forward.

Will pre-calc/ or ap calc be more helpful for college (I like chemistry, by the way)?

I don't want to do a course for credits. I just want prerequisites for pre-calc or calc, and also so I know formulas for the SAT II.

What to do...

I'll go to my guidance counselor probably next week, but I just would like some opinions from y'all first.
