Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Economics, test scores
[] Weaknesses: GPA
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I’m a high-stats applicant, so I considered Trinity to be a safety, but I really wasn’t expecting the scholarship offer. I didn’t apply for any aid, but it is going to place Trinity far higher on my list than it otherwise would be.
[]Other places applied to/Decisions: Waitlisted at both Wash U and UChicago, waiting to hear from 18 more schools. [/ul]

Best of luck to everyone else!

when will RD decisions come out? i logged in, but there was no difference

I received a letter informing me, but apparently most RD decisions will be released over the portal on Friday.

@kaarboer how were you notified?

Most Early decision will be notified Friday 21st (TOMORROW) Evening. Yes. Im nervous too.

@kaarboer I also got waitlilsted from Wash U (applied full-ride for four years, and they’re need-aware… Although I’m not certain, but this could’ve played a part in my admission). I consider Trinity a safety, too. But 18 more schools? WOW. People were saying I applied for too many schools (10), and every time I was saying 10 is nothing. And now you’re an epitome of it. Is it because you applied UC system, or how did you even get to applying for 21 schools in total (18+Trinity+Wash U+U Chicago, right?)

@hannah9501 Presidential scholars got a letter, then an email. @humanities2014 I had the time to fill out a lot of applications.

@kaarboer I, too, had time, but my counselor would never let me apply for twenty-one schools. She actually does have a power to do so, because she’s the one who sends the transcript to the schools. Are you from the U.S.? I’ve never seen students applying for so many schools like that, even from private boarding schools. 11-12 is deemed to be the absolute limit. But, good for you! I hope you get into the first choices.

Decision: Accepted w/ Presidential Scholarship

Objective:[ul]
[] SAT I (breakdown): 2240 (800 Critical Reading, 680 Mathematics, 760 Writing)
[] ACT (breakdown): 34 (30 Mathematics, 35 English, 36 Reading, 34 Science, 32 Combined English-Writing)
[] ACT superscore (breakdown): I think I could technically get superscored up to a 35, but that would include the state ACT without Writing, so I wouldn’t count that.
[] SAT II: 780 Biology M, 760 Literature, 770 U.S. History
[] Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.00
[] Weighted GPA: 4.33
[] Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): 8 of 499
[] AP (place score in parentheses): European History (5), Biology (4), Calculus BC (5, AB subscore also a 5), Language and Composition (5), Macroeconomics (4), U.S. History (5)
[] Senior Year Course Load: AP Literature, AP Statistics, AP Spanish Language, AP U.S. Government, Calculus III/Differential Equations, AP Physics C: Mechanics, journalism production class, journalism editor class (8 of 8 possible year-long courses)
[] Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): A few awards for journalism and mock trial (don’t feel like really going into detail unless someone wants it)[/ul] Subjective:[ul]
[] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parentheses): Journalism (managing editor of newspaper), National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society (Vice President), Mock Trial
[] Job/Work Experience: None
[] Volunteer/Community service: Weekly shift at local library during sophomore year up to present time, semi-regular work at elementary school during freshman year[/ul] Writing (Write a brief description and Rate Quality on 1-10 Scale; 10 as best):[ul]
[] Common App Main: Another student and I organized a debate for our school district’s contentious Board of Education election, and hopefully got students to care about their educations; 9/10
[] Teacher Recommendation #1: Glowing; 10/10
[] Teacher Recommendation #2: Have not seen
[] Counselor Rec: Have not seen
[] Interview: N/A
[] Art Supplement: N/A[/ul] Other[ul]
[] Date Submitted App: Dec. 27, 2013
[] State (if domestic applicant): CO
[] School Type: Public
[] Ethnicity: White
[] Gender: Male
[] Income Bracket: Roughly the top 10%
[] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): None I can think of[/ul] Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Statistics, writing
[] Weaknesses: My participation is relatively scant; what the above list doesn’t show is that I joined most of my major extracurricular activities just last year.
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Most objective determinants
[] Other admissions decisions: Accepted to CSU with $4,000 scholarship; accepted to UMass Amherst with $12,000 scholarship; waitlisted by UChicago; waiting to hear from five other schools[/ul]
I actually didn’t get the letter before the email, which oversight led to a great deal of panic on my and my parents’ part until we ran down to the mail and got the good news.

Seeing all these post …no chance at trinity at all

^ seriously though…

Does anyone know when the decision comes out today? The email vaguely says evening but it would be really nice to know the exact time if thats possible.

No one knows? Im really freaking out.

@tawasthan @FuturePetVet, the only two students to post in this thread (me and @kaarboer) also received the full-tuition Presidential Scholarship, which are reserved for the top five percent of admitted students (or the top two percent of applicants, generally). I’m sure your applications will go just fine.

When will the decisions come out? It’s 1 AM here in Pakistan and the decision is the only thing keeping me up. :)

Well since the email from trinity says it comes out in the evening i guess the time frame 5-7pm(eastern time)

THEY ARE OUT

Check your portal.

rejected :’(

are they out yet?.for sure
