How important are APs for admissions into STEM programs at Trinity? Would SAT II’s carry the same weight for admissions, if I have no relevant APs to begin with?
Short answer is yes- in fact neither is required (though some subjects require having done a subject to a certain level, such as math if you are applying for engineering, so an AP or Subject Test would be appropriate).
Be sure to read the course descriptions- there are no “STEM programs” per se- you apply to study a specific subject, and there is typically not a lot of choice of classes within the subject, especially the first year or two.
