Trinity College Selectivity?

Hey Guys!

So I was talking to my counselor about the University of Toronto and he didn’t seem to know too much about it. I go to a private boarding school in the US but am a Canadian citizen. Would I be evaluated as an American applicant? Do I stand much of a chance with my low GPA?

The registrar told my friend who’s currently at Trinity that this year’s admissions average was 95%. That being said, this same friend has other friends at Trinity who were accepted with averages similar to yours. Definitely focus on your essay, since it does carry some weight.

I don’t know whether I’m going to commit to U of T, but I hope to see you there

Hey guys, I don’t remember there being an EC section on the app. Did I brainfart and completely forget?

Yes, there’s two questions on the Trinity application. One is for explaining your extracurriculars.

I applied with an average of 94% in grade 11 in mid-December and got an offer near the end of January (which is weird considering the fact that I didn’t get the chance to include my grade 12 mark update). That being said, I feel like I’m an anchor to the school community now since I only have 1 EC (being a TA at my school).

I submitted my application on the last possible day (Feb. 1st) and was accepted on Feb. 11th! I really liked how my essays turned out, even though I wrote them the night before. My top 6 grade 12 courses average was 95%, but my overall average in grades 11 & 12 was around 92-93%. I think you have a good chance at being accepted, since you have really good test scores and they’re always looking for more diversity from international students. I heard U of T sends acceptances in waves, in February, March, and May, don’t worry if you haven’t gotten one yet. Good luck!

Kinda off topic, but does anyone know the acceptance rate for Vic? I’m still waiting for a decision and am stressing myself out
