Trinity ED2 decision??

Heyy anyone got his/her ED2 decision yet???

I've just got the admissions letter from Trinity!!!! I'm so excited noooow!!!
I'm waiting for the financial aid letter from Trin.

I just got my letter of acceptance today
So excited!

Me too. Did you withdraw your RD applications?

i've withdrawn some of them. there are three schools that i still want to check if i'm accepted or not. i want to test my ability. i'm too greedy, right? :">

didnt you ^^, your parents and your school sign a contract saying that 1) you will go if accepted 2) you will withdraw from other schools upon acceptance?

Congrats Janele. Where are you from?

eventually i'll withdraw all offers from other colleges :D
i'm from vietnam. what about you, tryyourbest?

arent you worried 1)that once Trinity sends their list of accepted ED I and II students to other similar colleges, b/c you didnt withdraw you will loose the space at Trinity and the other colleges will take you out of the running (that is what happens, btw, and you must withdraw quickly, and certainly before similar colleges start sending out acceptance letters, which for some will be as early as the end of the coming week) 2) without waiting for such list to be sent out, there are admin officers checking forums like this and you are easily identifiable, thus, at risk for rescinding the offer?

Are you serious about the whole colleges taking you out of the running mhmm?
How do you know this?

part of the contract you sign when you you send in the ed thing

mhmm: i thought that even if i was accepted to any other colleges, of course i would still go to Trinity. I didn't know that it was that serious. Anyway, I sent my withdrawal letters already. Thank you a lot mhmm.

I think it is really quite selfish to not withdraw applications from other schools. You are essentially forcing that one other person to the wait list and the person who could be waitlisted to the rejected pile just because "you want to see." And as an international student, perhaps you don't fully realize the consequences of greed but as an adult I can tell you that those consequences are very real -- and I paraphrase from Casablanca.. maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow... but someday for sure.

My S applied, but hasn’t heard. I assume it will be through US mail.

“And as an international student, perhaps you don’t fully realize the consequences of greed but as an adult I can tell you that those consequences are very real --”

Modadunn, are you actually serious with that statement??? “And as an international student, perhaps you don’t fully realize the consequences of greed…” ??? are you insulting international students or are you saying the US has cornered the market on greed already?

yes, it’s a rule. yes, it should be followed. yes, it is serious and acceptances ARE rescinded with no chance of appeal. but there’s no need to hit below the belt.

Acceptance and Aid package are given together? If not then one should not withdraw since he does not know if he can attend with the aid. The contract states that you can be released from ED if you cannot pay even after the aid.
