Is it easy to transfer from Trinity to Pratt? Do you need to reapply or something?

It's pretty easy - you can start taking Pratt classes whenever you like, and then at the end of your first year apply for a transfer. As long as your grades are pretty good, you're in. No reapplication to Duke or essays or anything like that.

Does the same apply for a Pratt to Trinity switch?

basically, yeah

Well, except to come to Engineering you walk down a hill, and to go Trinity you have to walk up a hill. Also, I am trying to get the Dean to install a bell at the engineering library that Pratt people transferring to Trinity would have to ring on their way out (like the one they have at BUD/S for the SEAL candidates that drop). We'd then scratch off the term "engineering" from their Duke ID so they can't get free shirts at our engineering socials :)

lol.... who would want to switch to trinity after egr 53 DAQ labs
also if you are enrolled in trinity, you are technically a trinity student for the first year even if you are transferring to pratt. This means completing some trinity's first year requirements such as taking a first year seminar class, even though you won't ever need it for Pratt
