Trinity University Class of 2019 - EA

@MollyN did you get an email?

@Rathination no isn’t today the 8th?

@MollyN Yeah, I was just asking in general XD. I should have said: “Do they notify you by email?”

@Rathination oh yes haha. That’s what I read.

Visiting Trinity this weekend! Hope D hears by then. Good luck everyone.

San Antonio will be a zoo this weekend. It is the Texas Music Educators Assoc. All State convention at the Convention Center and most of the River Walk hotels. There will be hundreds of Texas High School musicians and their families and band directors down there. Plus it is Valentine’s weekend!

I guess it is possible there may be a conference there every weekend, but I know this one will be big.

Good luck with your visit!

@4kids4colleges You can stay by the airport to visit Trinity. It’s only six miles. Also, use Mapquest to get you there, not Google Maps. For our visit last year, Google brought us into the south entrance, which is wrong. Now I see that it directs visitors to Chapman Center instead of to Admissions in Northrup Hall. If you send me a private message, I will send you my visit write-up to read ahead of time.

My son is flying back to San Antonio on February 27 to compete on Trinity Tower Scholars Day on the 28th.

D got her acceptance today via email! Thanks @Beaudreau and @lotstodo for the info. I would love to hear your visit report, I will PM you.

@4kids4colleges Congratulations to your daughter.

@4kids4colleges Congratulations to your D! @Beaudreau good luck to your S at Tower Scholars Day!

Not sure, am I supposed to post stats? 3.75 UW, 30 ACT (36 English, 30 Math), rigorous, small charter school, 4 yrs 2 varsity sports, mission work abroad, lots of volunteer experience, artist. Sounds like one big brag! Hoping for decent merit, she has done well elsewhere. Can’t wait to visit.

^ also, out of state. Thanks for the congrats and good luck all!

@Beaudreau, my S and I will also be flying there for the Towers Scholars Day at the end of the month.

I also want him to see the school again, as it has been a year since we visited.

Good luck to your S!

@ColdinMinny I am not going to travel with my son this time. It will be his first solo air flight, hotel, cab, meals, etc. I’m sure he will do fine.

Trinity will be doing its best to sell the school to the attendees.

Good luck to your son.

@Beaudreau Congratulations to you and your son! We with our son will visit TU for the first time on Feb 28 and I wonder the best way from airport to TU? If renting a car is necessary to move around?

Son received acceptance notification via email yesterday.

@apbcollege It’s only six miles, so a cab would be cheaper if you are just going from the airport and back. If you are staying by the airport, you may be able to get the hotel shuttle to pick you up from the airport and take you to Trinity on Saturday morning. My son is planning shuttle service from the Embassy Suites, with a taxi as backup if the hotel shuttle is unavailable. The Embassy Suites is more expensive, but my son loves their big breakfasts, which are included in the price. http://embassysuites3.hilton.com/en/hotels/texas/embassy-suites-san-antonio-international-airport-SATJMES/index.html

did they update the status on the portal yet?

Just a head’s up for future planning. If you stay at the Hyatt Place you can get a free shuttle from the airport. The same shuttle will take you to/from Trinity and/or Quarry Market with 15 min. notice. Great breakfast and free transportation. We always stay there. What’s not to love?

Did anyone else not get an email? does this mean that we were rejected? I didn’t see an update on my portal, either.
