Does anyone know the exact time decisions will be released? On the admissions portal it says Dec. 15, but it didn’t give a time. Thx!

Around 5:00 p.m. is what I have heard

They’re out now

Not early decision BUT just got my decision…accepted!!! I am SO excited! Not the best scholarship ($18K) , but I am going to try to get some outside ones. Do any of you know if any further scholarships from Trinity are available? Guess I should set up a meeting with an admissions counselor… Yay!!!

My daughter was accepted with the Murchison scholarship, which got her attention! Trinity was a school that on paper looked like something she’d like, but she wasn’t too interested in Texas. I made her apply just in case. And here we are…her favorites aren’t panning out and we’ve had a potential big change in future income (health issue), so Trinity is on the table. Unfortunately, we can’t visit during any of the admitted student’s days.

The biggest hesitation to me is that 80 percent of the students are from Texas. Any thoughts on this as far as the community culture? How about job placement outside of Texas after graduation?

The dorms look awesome inside, but the campus itself doesn’t look too attractive, and doesn’t look like there’s much to walk to outside of campus. Am I wrong? Hard to tell from virtual tours.

My daughter got the Murchinson too (sadly the Tower Scholarship didn’t happen), but we live close and did the scholars day trip. The campus is actually beautiful, green, ornate, meticulously clean, and the perfect combo between some older buildings and the new science/engineering complex. They have fun traditions, and I can honestly say the campus is not a step down from east coast LACs we’ve visited. And you should see the cafeteria they built with a private grant - the amount and variety of food is incredible! Parents ate there while kids were testing, and it was very good.

Dorms are spacious and well-furnished, but one of the three freshman dorms is built motel-style, with no lounge and rooms opening straight outside to the stairs/walkway. That put me off in a major way, I would get some sort of a bar lock for the room if that were our room assignment. Not safe to me, although the guide said they’ve had no issues. Juniors and seniors have a campus-adjacent dorm that look amazing though, if they choose to do so, and a great rates.

I live somewhat near Trinity and YES, the campus is beautiful. Really there should be no concerns there. There isn’t a ton to do right around campus, but San Antonio itself has a lot to offer.
