Trinity Wait list Class of 2023

Guys, I think they have decided not to admit as off the waitlist, because if they don’t accept as right now, we are not going to make it on time for class start date. As an international student, we need to go by immigration related procedures like, visa application which may take a minimum of one month with I -20…etc. And there is also a period of 22days ( day varies by country) you need to wait before visa interview. Generally, if they don’t accept
as by the coming 2 weeks, I think it is silent denial.

@Ethiopia321
I also believe that but it is still May.
Let’s just wait.
It would have been better if they gave the news, good or bad, soon and we can move on with our lives.

Like I stated previously, there is still time. I sent an email just now to my admissions counselor if they are only admitting students off the wait list through the global start program or if there is still the possibility for regular admission.

Another counselor I spoke to did say Late May/ Early June so there is time.

But as of now what are your college decisions?

@mouca123
To be honest, Trinity is the only one I have left.

By the way guys, did you submitted test scores ?

And what about financial aid ? I told them I can only pay $1000 a year,which puts me among the high $$$ seekers.

Yes and yes.
I submitted both SAT1 asd SAT2. The IELTS requirement was waived.

And I do come from a family where my dumb father lost everything to gambling.

I applied as test optional, but I don’t have grades less than “A” on my transcript. Can you share your scores ? If you don’t mind.

SAT1. 1420
SAT2. Math II- 690. Chem-720. Phy-750.

Not best, but I do have good grades.

You got good grades. Then, why did they put you on the waitlist ? Anyways, our only hope is to wait for them to call. There is nothing we can do at this time other than begging God for his mercy.

Anyone heard of Waitlist decision release date ?

@BdCollege I’d love to know if they’re really apprising everyone about their waitlist acceptance one by one…it seems like roughly one or two people on this log have been accepted so far - seems quite assymetical, even considering that not everyone is on CC posting about waitlist news. Feeling rather gloomy :/, yet hope springs eternal

@mouca123
Did you get a reply of your mail?

Where are you from ? Could you share your grades, application status…etc. If you don’t mind.

EThomeschool

@BdCollege Nothing yet. However they are coming back from memorial weekend here in the states.

@Ethiopia321 I am from Chicago, IL.
Gpa: 4.5 (all AP and Honors classes)
Test optional
A long list of extracurriculars in and out of school.
I demonstrated a lot of interest especially because I’m part of a college prep program that partners with certain schools
I’m Latina and want to double major in English and environmental science.

I just received a response guys.

“We have not taken students off the waitlist for a Fall 2019 on-campus start, but have not yet released the waitlist. At the moment, we have only admitted students off the waitlist for Global Start and J Start, but that could change later in the summer. We will continue to notify students they have been taken off the waitlist by phone and via email.”

So they have not yet admitted from the regular waitlist and will possibly due so within the next couple of weeks.

Guys,
Don’t you think this is a kind and smart denial. I think there a playing us to hope there dcisions could change in summer. What makes them change there decisions on summer ? I’m really disappointed.

I don’t think so.
They have to take people as they have empty seats.
And as far as I can tell from Reddit, they waitlist internationals who need substantial aid.
Also, @mouca123 mentioned something about summer melt in the very first page of this thread. Might give it a read.

But yeah, we are here on a very speculative adjunction. Statistics tells us that Trinity has a waitlist decision rate of 17%. So, out of 600, 30 lucky ones will be able to continue their dream. By that theory, only two or three of us here are going to be happy.

But, hey now, this doesn’t mean they have zero acceptance rate. Let’s just hold on and hope for the best.
