Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has been in a triple or got a triple room for the spring semester. I was assigned a triple and am a little unsure about the situation. Why do they charge the same price for a triple as they do for a double? Shouldn't it be less since you are making compromises by sharing it with an extra student?

Also, how bad do you guys think it will be? I don't want to have a headache over roomate conflicts and during the semester.

Thanks.

Triples are actually not the same price as doubles. At the very end of the semester, the school will refund you up to $5/day you were tripled or $500 in total which ever is lesser. I got a $445 refund check(a few weeks ago) after being tripled for the whole fall semester.

Also triples are not that bad, you should be more than able to work something out with your roommates, unless they are dicks.

Sometimes I wish we could phrase things the way Delfino does (specifically the last part).

:)

I had a triple last sememster, and will have one this semseter as well. It works out fine as long as everyone in the room can learn to get along with one another. Look at it this way: if you go in with a positive attitude, you could end up getting paid by Stony for making two new friends at school.
