What kind of trips does Princeton offer, and how often do they offer them? weekend trips? NYC?? How much money for these? Are they well-attended?

(bump) here too

NYC is commutable and you don't need a "trip" to get there.

There's an Amtrak station on campus! It's only an hour or so to NYC or Philadelphia. (and Amtrak is cheap...)

Your residential college will subsidize a lot of trips to NYC and Philly. They usually run around $20, and involve going to plays, concerts, museums, etc. and dinner. You sometimes have to bid for some of the more popular trips (i.e. through a point or lottery system), so yeah, people definitely take advantage of the great deal.

residential college? huh? did i miss something?

I know a lot of the res. colleges have trips to NYC to see plays for $25. I've gone to a couple with my sister, who is a student there.

Happy 1000, slim! Now you're joining the ranks of post geezers like the rest of us ;)

And yeah, your residential college takes care of a lot of the trips. It reduces the price drastically, which is awesome.

yet another reason why i defected from the yale camp.

they take you to broadway shows/operas/and other sightseeing things in NYC!

well then, COUNT ME IN :D

and btw....it's slic ;)

I knew that. I was just...testing...you. Yeah, testing you. nervous laughter

You know I've been calling you slim since the beginning of time, right? mm'k, just checking, haha.

actually, the Amtrak station is not on campus. The campus station has a shuttle train that takes you to Princeton Junction, which is on the Northeast Corridor, I believe.

slic, you were a Harvard chap at one point, weren't you?

lol slic...slim? that's almost as bad as me thinking you were a girl and that your name was slichic.

hahaha hao....WOW! ull be 1000 soon!

::i cannot waste another post in this thread and get myself evicted from the non senior lounge::

doooo IT! doooo IT! dooooo IT!
