Trojan Football

All the preseason polls rank USC as #1.

This is going to be an incredible football season!

Pete Carroll is a football god.

And Booty will lead us to the championship.

FIGHT ON TROJANS!

If booty stops throwing interceptions I will be happy. I'd like to see sanchez get in the game a little more. And Moody is back after his injury so we have a good D line.

^You pretty much just said word for word what I was thinking about Booty's interceptions and Sanchez playing more. lol

i don't know 29 TDs and 9 INTs look pretty good to me. the student body and the USC fan base in general are pretty spoiled and never accepted Booty who did have a good season despite everyone's unrealistic expectations. Booty held off Sanchez in practice and won the position fairly. nothing about Sanchez suggests that he deserves any playing time except for blow out situations.

I'd just like to see Sanchez play more so that he has more experience when Booty leaves. However, I wouldn't put Sanchez in unless we were winning by a comfortable amount. lol

Booty has definitely deserved his starting position. I think he'll be more comfortable this year and definitely a better player, just because of more game experience and practice.

Oh... and Booty will lead USC to a national championship. lol :D

Keep Booty in. There's talk of him being a Heisman canidate, and he's a great QB.

Besides, have you ever seen Dirty Sanchez walking around campus? Guy creeps me out. At least when I was standing in line with Jarett at Carl's he was chill and polite.

Absolutely. Keep JDBooty in. I can't believe people were not satisfied with his performance last year in his FIRST YEAR as starting quarterback. With the tremendous experience last year, definitely expect him to build upon that foundation. His stock can only go up, and that surely means that he is a Heisman Trophy contender, even though we're still in preseason.

I won't lie, though. This year's schedule is pretty tough. If you remember, most (maybe all, I can't remember) of the home games were against Top-25 opponents, whereas most (and maybe all, again... I can't remember, again) of the away games were against non-ranked opponents. It's kind of the opposite this year. This year will be tougher on the basis of the Trojans having to visit Nebraska (pretty intense stadium, if you ask me), Notre Dame (always a fierce rivalry), Oregon (Oregon usually fields a decent team), and Cal (Berkeley has not been easy to fend off in the recent years). That's just a sample of the away schedule. At Washington State and at Arizona State won't be easy, either. That said, I have my full confidence in our football team. With Pete Carroll, there just really never seems to be a rebuilding season. Plus, I heard USC is moving back to the 4-3 defense, which they were more familiar with, anyways. I'm ready for an exciting season. Fight on!
