Dude This Is Soo Awesome!

Didn't you survive one of these storms? You should write your essay on it; it'd probably be in that "unique ballpark" they're lookin for ;)

Well actually it did not get so bad at worst cat. 2 gusts but nothing compared to what punta gorda or west palm experienced...So it got exciting and scary at times but not really bad...it was much worse in punta gorda...

I can't really write an essay on it...I just enjoy it as a hobby...but if I do experience a cat. 3 or higher it will be essay material likely...

How do people in Florida live? There's so much news about storms over there. Scary!? Do you guys put up boards on your windows every year? And, do you guys have boats in your garage just in case your house might flood?

my home is sturdy and away from immediate coastline..it can handle 150 mph winds with little or no damage...therefore I really do not have to do any boarding or prep when a hurricane comes except getting my camera ready for some wild video..Actually if you are a storm chaser (like I am for a hobby) chasing these things is fun...

Sleepisabliss.... we live strangely. Today, we are picking up our wind-proof windows and having them installed later this week.

I hate Florida.... I hate the sun, the weather, the people.... I wanna leave.

Florida is lovely for me except perhaps during hurricanes...then it's a mixture of terrifying and awesome...the only weak part of the house is the tile roofing...several tiles blew off last year...but I'll get around to fixing them sometime this summer before september...
