So I am accepted into UCSD, UCSB, UC Davis, UC Irvine, and BU (with a 10k scholarship).
From what I've heard that medical school puts high priority on GPA and MCAT compared to which undergraduate college you come from. Originally being from California, I really enjoy the nice weather and closeness to home (for the most part anyways), so I'm leaning towards a UC. Another thing about BU is price. Even with the scholarship, it will cost me around $45k/yr without transportation, almost double the cost of a UC school.

With that said, at first, I was leaning towards UCSD, mainly because of its prestige and ranking. But now I am having second thoughts. I am scared that I will struggle in UCSD because there just so many pre-meds there who are super competitive. I heard that people at UCSB are really happy and today at my school's career day, a physician went from UCSB to UCLA med school and she really enjoyed her whole experience. I'm not positive that I will get a 3.6+ GPA at UCSD but I know that I can do well at UCSB and have a good, strong social life in the process.

I havn't visited the campuses yet, but I plan to over spring break in April. Assuming I find all the campuses appealing, where do you think I should go?
