Trouble Deciding on Dorm

Hey everyone! I'm really exciting of being an up coming freshmen for the FSU class of 2018,! Thing is that i still have no clue in which dorm i want to room in. I know i want to room in a suite style dorm around Landis Green and i'm stuck between choosing Reynolds, Gilchrist, or Broward ( i'm open minded of many though)

My primary concern for dorms is the social atmosphere- I want to be in a a dorm where where i can meet alot of people to hang around with and one that hosts alot of socials . Right now i'm leaning more towards Reynolds but the wellness agreement worries me ( I don't drink or do drugs at all, but i'm afraid people in this hall might be uptight)

But regardless if any one with experience living Reynolds or any other dorm would give me advice and tell me how it's like living in the dorms i would greatly appreciate it!( and sorry for any grammatical errors. It's late and i'm about to fall asleep)

As I say every time someone brings up “how social are the dorms” I have this to say:
The dorms are as social as you make them. They all are required to put on a certain number of activities per month/semester/year. If you want to socialize with others in your dorm, go to those events. They have several mandatory meetings throughout the year. Go to them because they explain info you need to know, and you’ll probably meet several people at each event.

Personally, I wouldn’t ever recommend one of the east-side suite halls, just because of the fact that they require a mandatory meal plan (which are insanely overpriced). But if you want to live in one of those, and you’re in the Honors program, there’s no reason to not have Landis as your first choice and Gilchrist as your second. If you aren’t in Honors, you would have to pick Broward (and you would need a pretty good priority number to get to live in that dorm).

Wow ,Thank you Pasbal for you’re feedback! The thought of a mandatory meal plan never really occurred in my mind and when i looked at those prices, i definitely do not want a meal plan,s o i guess i’ll put Wildwood/Deviney as my first and 2nd choice. Again, Thank you for your feed back!

If you want to live only in suite-style buildings, keep in mind that Deviney this year will not (to my knowledge) be a suite-style hall. Unless they’ve changed the timeline to open it up in 2014 and not 2015.

If you don’t get the dorm of your choice, relax, and hope that you get a cool roommate. You can live in the greatest dorm on campus, but all that can go down the drain and to hell because of a bad roommate.

As far as Reynolds students being uptight, if you mind their business they’ll mind yours. Get my drift?

Ok ,Thank you Pasbal! I appreciate the feed back. And I Get what you’re saying @MastuhDang :P
