Trouble doing my homework and studying

Ever since I joined Track and Field my sleep schedule has been messed up. I am falling asleep right after I get home around 6:00. I then eat dinner and am too tired too do anything else, so I end up falling asleep around 7:00 or 8:00. I wake up around 1 or 2 in the morning watch TV, then fall asleep again at 3 or 4, waking up around 5 or 6, which is when I usually get up to get ready for school. Im sick of this routine, but I can’t shake myself enough to break it, even though I need to do homework and study. Any tips?

Try to eat after you get home and get to homework and studying right away. Also don’t do homework on like a bed or couch if you are tired. Sleep around 10-11 and wake up at 6. How many hours of homework a day do you have?

Just try to not fall asleep when you get home. Stay away from your bed/couch.

I would suggest the opposite. You should eat right away and get some sleep if you really are that tired. If you are tired and falling asleep when you get home, you are not going to be productive trying to finish you’re homework. When you get up around 1 or 2 instead of watching tv, try to go back to sleep and get up around 4. Then you can do your remaining homework in the morning. If you really can’t fall asleep when you wake up in the middle of the night, then do you’re homework instead of watching tv. But I would strongly suggest going back to sleep so that you get a continuous rest instead of waking up and going back to sleep.

If you do this though, you need to finish some of your homework beforehand. You won’t be able to finish it all in the morning. You can try to do it at school or do the easy homework while you’re tired and eating dinner.

Well, since track and field exhausts you, drop track and field. Physical and mental health should come first ( at your age you need 8-9 hours of sleep minimum otherwise you harm your brain and body) and academics second (track and field will do you no good if your grades slip.) ec’s should always come after those two.
Make sure you eat a nutritious lunch with protein and fruit with lots of water (no a chocolate bar from a vending machine doesn’t count, and no soda), never skip lunch and make it a moment to chat with friends and relax, always have a piece of fruit and a cereal bar in your bag for a 3 o’clock snack.
