<p>I have said this on similar posts, but…</p>
<p>EC’s should be things you enjoy, not things that you think look good. I can honestly say that every EC I do because I love it and not because it looks good (I was doing one EC for my resume but quit it to focus on golf which I love much more). If your EC’s are so weak that you don’t have a realistic shot at college you should question how good of a fit said college is.</p>
<p>Go explore, join some clubs, volunteer with a cause you are passionate about. If you are committed to what you are doing leadership positions will end up happening without you trying to appeal to colleges.</p>
