My daughter is a high school junior and she has requested information twice over the past two months from Bryn Mawr via the admissions website. She is very interested in Bryn Mawr and wants to visit there when we travel east to look at colleges this summer, but Bryn Mawr is the only school who did not send information when she requested it (and she’s requested it TWICE). Has anyone else had problems like this? Should I call them, or just give up?
I’m sorry they haven’t responded. Definitely call them and tell them of the problems you’ve had.
Yes, we had similar problems. I would call and, if you visit, confirm multiple times that they know you are coming. Even with email confirmation of my D1’s visit (from California) and confirmation that she would have a tour and interview, they did not have her on their schedule for the visit when she arrived at the admission office. Great school. Beautiful. But admissions office really struggled. So much so, my D did not apply.
We went all the way from west coast to east coast as well. They didn’t even take my D’s name. They were very unfriendly. Their common data set says that the applicant’s interest is NOT a consideration for admission. I thought maybe that’s why they didn’t care to take down the name. But still, it kind of felt odd.
