Trouble With Describing an Activity

I’m having trouble with the wording of the honors and accomplishments section for track and field. Do I need to include examples of sepecific medals/ribbons won? I feel like the names of races and different competitions would be somewhat meaningless to a admissions officer. Right now I have for the description section: “Competed in races and high jump. Various medals and ribbons including 2nd place-Sprint Medley-Hunt Inv. and 2nd place-4x8 Relay-Jacksonville South Inv.” Does this sound awkward?

Revise to something like: “Competed in races and high jump. Awards include two runner-up finishes and various medals.”

I think you should use the “Position” space for : Varsity sprinter/mid-distance/relay runner and high jumper.
For the “Describe…” (this is for accomplishments/recognitions) it is good to indicate what level your competition/medals are for - local/regional/national

Yeah, individual races and places are meaningless. Even for state, a litany of places just takes up space, and if you place highly enough at state, you will have moved on to a regional or national meet, anyway.
